Garden Gang Working Bee – 14 September

Calling all Green Thumbs and Garden Warriors!
Spring has sprung and it’s never been a more perfect time for the Garden Gang to get going!
In anticipation of our PHPS centenary year celebrations, Gardens and Grounds have set ourselves a mission of beautifying our school for forthcoming festivities.
We have split the working bees into two shifts:
- Saturday, September 14th – 9am-11:30pm
- Saturday, September 14th – 1pm-3:30pm
Activities for the day include:
- Pruning and mulching
- Putting some new plants in
- Tidying up around the play equipment area
- Gurney sandstone blocks
- Scrubbing the metal picnic tables
- And of course, the meditative task of light weeding!
Bring the kids along for some fresh air and a productive workout and play😃
Please bring any of the following (if you can):
- Garden forks (tall), hand forks, trowels, buckets or plastic bins (even if they have a hole or two) and wheelbarrows or even a green bin if you live close by. If your preference is a power tool, those would be welcome also.
Don’t forget your gloves, hats, sunscreen and water bottles!
Any questions drop us an email at phpsgardensgrounds@gmail.com or join our Whatsapp group (details below).
Thanks to everyone who helps out! We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 14th September on the K-2 site on Trebor Road.
